DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

August 2023 brought a life-altering diagnosis: Stage 4 appendix cancer. Suddenly, my world, including my filmmaking dreams, came to a halt as I faced the stark reality of my own mortality. Just a week later, I felt compelled to pick up a camera and document my experience. What began as a short experimental film evolved, through the demanding fight against stage 4 cancer, into my debut feature. This documentary became my way of grappling with the immense challenges I faced and continue to face today.

As someone in their 30s who valued their health, my hope is that this film deeply touches audiences and ignites vital discussions about cancer awareness and the critical importance of early detection.
